Check any installer in the official registers

These checks matter more than any list, including this one.

MCS certification

Search the installer by name or certification number. Results show the certification number, the technologies it covers and the certification body.

Open the register →

RECC membership

RECC keeps a searchable member list. Ask which consumer code the installer follows.

Open the register →

Companies House

Check the legal entity, how long it has existed, and whether it is in administration or liquidation.

Open the register →

Smart Export Guarantee suppliers

The SEG is paid by electricity suppliers, not installers. Check the supplier's current rate before you compare quotes.

Installers, A to Z

The UK has no public installer league table: government data counts installations nationally, not by company. We therefore add UK installers one at a time, and only after checking their MCS certification in the official lookup. Only one entry has been added so far.

How it works

The rules of this directory

Not ranked

Entries are in alphabetical order. We do not score, rate or recommend any installer.

Every fact has a source

Each line links to where we found it and shows the date. If we could not verify something, we leave it off.

Not for sale

Listing is free and cannot be bought. If we ever add referral links, they will be marked as such and will not change who is listed or in what order.

A listing is not an endorsement

Being listed means a fact about the company was published by a source we trust. It says nothing about the quality of its work. Check licences, reviews and warranty terms yourself.
