Privacy policy
Our calculators run in your browser and you do not need to give us personal details to use them. This page explains the little we do collect, who handles it and how to ask us to delete it.
Who we are
SolarNiverse.com is run by Niverse Studio. For anything about your information, write to hello@solarniverse.com.
What we collect
- Messages you send us. If you use the contact form we receive your name, email address, the topic you chose, your state (optional) and your message. The form is delivered to us by Formspree (formspree.io), which processes it on our behalf.
- Visit statistics. We use Google Analytics to see which pages are read, roughly where visitors are, and what device and browser they use. Google Analytics uses cookies in your browser. We use the reports to improve pages and do not try to identify individual visitors. Advertising features and Google signals are switched off in our tag. See Cookies below for when it loads.
- Fonts. Our pages load the Inter font from Google Fonts, so your browser contacts Google's servers when a page opens.
The calculators work on the numbers you type into the page, inside your browser. We do not receive those numbers. We do not run accounts or logins, and we do not ask for payment details. The only cookie we set ourselves remembers your cookie choice (see below).
Cookies and Google Analytics
- sn_consent (ours, 180 days): remembers whether you accepted or rejected analytics.
- _ga and _ga_<ID> (Google Analytics, up to two years): tell Google Analytics that repeat visits come from the same browser. These are only set if analytics is allowed.
If your browser's time zone is in Europe (we use it only as a rough guide, nothing is sent), Google Analytics does not load until you press Accept on the banner. Elsewhere it loads by default. Either way you can change your mind at any time with Cookie settings in the footer of every page, or by clearing your cookies.
How we use it
We use a message to reply to you and, if you report a mistake, to check and correct the page. We use visit statistics to improve the site. We do not sell your details and we do not pass contact-form messages to installers, lenders or advertisers.
Who else handles it
Formspree (form delivery) and Google (Analytics and Fonts) process information for us. Each has its own policy: Formspree and Google. Their servers may be outside your country, including in the United States. We may also disclose information if the law requires it.
How long we keep it
We keep a message for as long as we need it to answer you and to keep a record of corrections. Ask us and we will delete it. Google Analytics keeps its data for the period set in our Analytics account.
Your choices
- Ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it or delete it: hello@solarniverse.com.
- Use Cookie settings in the footer to accept or reject analytics, block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or install Google's Analytics opt-out add-on.
- Depending on where you live, such as the UK, the EU, California or Australia, the law may give you further rights, including the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
Children
SolarNiverse is written for adults who own or rent homes. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes
If we change what we collect, we will update this page and its date. On 7 November 2026 we removed the quote request forms that some state calculator pages used to show, and added the cookie choice described above.
